Recruiting Top Talent For Your Internet Business

Most Internet businesses never make any money, and most of them fail within a year or two because they run out of money. People often spend as much as $10,000 setting up a website that is e-commerce enabled, and yet never make even a portion of that. In other words they never hit their return on investment or ROI.

However, there are some people who have made quite a bit of money in their own businesses on the Internet, and as their businesses expand; if they are smart they will recruit top talent to take it to the next step. Failure to go to the next step means that they will be running red line against the competition and competition will basically copy everything that they are doing and enter their industry sector niche competing on price.

The first thing to remember when recruiting top talent for your Internet business is to hire people who have done it before. Many people have worked for a startup Internet company, which had failed. These are not the people you want to hire because they were not a member of a winning team. Many people go to work for startup Internet businesses because they have a friend, who has received a lot of venture capital to start a business.

These businesses have incredible burn rates and they pay their people more than there worth and they give them silly bonuses they don’t deserve. That’s the last kind of a person that you want who has been spoiled and overpaid, and thinks they know everything. So you have to be quite careful when recruiting for your expanding Internet business. Please consider all this.
